We are almost heading into winter and I’ve not even blogged about the summer. Firstly it was hot. I like it hot, but not that hot. Fortunatley I didn’t have too many parties that were outside. Infact I had a few in airconditioned halls that I didn’t want to leave. We had the world cup football to watch. I remember one party, gently talking to a 5 year old, who was convinced we were going to beat Mexico that we don’t always get the results we want. It’s a good job I don’t have a job as a fortune teller, as we won. In fact England did very well in the tournament.
I had fun at some pre school graduation parties. I went to Markyate to Rising Stars to send their top class on their way to reception. That party was held in a nice shady marquee in the garden. I had my usual visit to White House Nursery in Ruislip. Im not sure how long Ive been going there, but it has to be nearly 10 years now. I also so my friends at Acrewood in Amersham.
I did the Lee Flower Festival – again this is an annual favourite of mine. I especially enjoy the dog show and the children’s races.
During the summer holiday itself I went to a couple of FunFest holiday schemes as well as the Watford and Three Rivers Refugee Trust and Borehamwood food bank. The jobs at the charities are always very rewarding.
Ive got all my usual Christmas bookings to look forward to and a few extra. Im just hoping that the current rain doesnt turn to snow in the last week of term
