Rickmansworth Gateway Club
The Rickmansworth Gateway Club has invited Auntie Julie to perform many times but I had never had as much fun as I did last night. The Gateway Club is a social club for disabled adults. It is situated on Middleton Road in Rickmansworth at The Shepherds Centre. It is a bit like a youth club for grown ups. They have quiz nights, games nights, outings and now and again an ‘Auntie Julie’ magic night. At The Gateway everyone is included, which means that all the members, volunteers and carers are able to join in.
One of my best friends in magic is a young man called James Tetlow He started out taking magic lessons and performing with me at The Gateway in Rickmansworth. He then moved to Exmouth and joined the Exeter Magic Society. He is now a regular performer with the club. You can see Amanda in the first picture here. She is a friend of James’s and a fellow magician. You can see her in the photo helping me with a trick.
